Sarah Bean Apmann
Director of Research & Preservation

Sarah Bean Apmann has worked as an architectural historian in historic preservation for the past twenty years. She grew up in Staten Island and received her BA in History from Lehigh University and her MS in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. She worked as an architectural historian consultant since graduating with projects all over the Tri-State area. Sarah was one of the founders and a principal with the Long Island historic preservation firm, TKS Historic Resources, Inc. Additionally she served as Chair of the Town of Huntington's Historic Preservation Commission. Since 2015 she has been the Director of Research and Preservation at the Greenwich Village Society for Preservation advocating for the architecture and cultural heritage of the East Village, Greenwich Village, South Village, NoHo and Gansevoort Market.
