Join us for an evening with Ingrid Abramovitch, author of Restoring a House in the City, about renovating and decorating town houses, brownstones, and row homes.
Abramovitch, a former editor at House & Garden who writes widely on design and architecture for magazines including Elle Décor, will give a slide presentation of photographs from her book and discuss recent remodeling tactics of townhouse owners in the neighborhood. She will spotlight several renovations of Greenwich Village townhouses, including the Greek Revival townhouse belonging to the actress Julianne Moore and her husband Bart Freundlich.
The author will also offer ideas and advice for renovating or decorating any older apartment or home—whether your style is traditional, modern, or somewhere in-between.
Copies of Restoring a House in the City will be available for purchase courtesy of Mobile Libris.
