Part of our on-going Authors of Greenwich Village series.

Join writer and GVSHP Trustee Judith Stonehill, author of Greenwich Village: A Guide to America’s Legendary Left Bank, as she talks about her new book New York’s Unique & Unexpected Places, written for urban ramblers who want to explore the city’s fascinating but less familiar sites. Discover secluded green spaces and idiosyncratic museums that celebrate jazz, skyscrapers, or vintage subway cars. Visit places of inspiration — a sculptor’s studio or a garden of stones — and roam through notable book collections that specialize in poetry, Nordic history or medicine. Spend time at a Dutch farmhouse perched above Broadway or a Victorian cottage overlooking the harbor, each evoking a long-ago time in New York.

Copies of New York's Unique and Unexpected Places will be available for purchase courtesy of Mobile Libris.
