The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation's Benefit Committee invites you to explore the hidden interiors of Greenwich Village by participating in our Annual tour of Village homes. This cherished tradition will take place on Sunday, May 4th, as we celebrate ten years offering an exclusive look into some of the Village’s most spectacular and historic homes.
This year’s extraordinary tour features seven diverse residences from 13th Street south to Commerce Street. Highlights of this year’s tour include a four-story townhouse that is an evolving experiment in creativity for its designer owners; a modern apartment in a converted 1890s office building where a wall of windows overlooks a bamboo garden; a Federal gem with hidden rooms and a southern-style tea porch; and a Greek-Revival townhouse owned by a well-known interior designer recently renovated in a surprising color palette.
Join us after the tour for a special post-tour cocktail reception and celebration at the remarkable studios and roof garden of the Stephan Weiss Foundation.
Established in 1980, the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation works to protect the cultural and architectural heritage of Greenwich Village, NoHo, and the East Village. Long famed for its meandering streets that defy Manhattan’s grid, its human-scale buildings that span centuries, and its links to the emergence of New York as a great cultural center, Greenwich Village is today one of New York’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
The Society’s Annual House Tour funds its advocacy and education initiatives, which help preserve the character of the Village.
