Landmark hearing for Isaac T. Hopper home at 110 2nd Avenue

We wanted to share with you the good news that a public hearing to landmark the Isaac T. Hopper home, located at 110 Second Avenue, will occur at the Landmarks Commission on Tuesday, January 13th (see agenda here). Though the exact time for this item has not yet been determined, the updated agenda with times should appear on the right-hand column of the LPC website by Friday evening. Please let us know if you’d like to be informed when the time is posted.

GVSHP will be present to testify in favor of the landmarking. We encourage you to attend the hearing to voice your support of this long overdue honor and protection for a remarkable historic East Village building.

The hearing will take place at the Landmarks Preservation Commission offices, located at 1 Centre Street, 9th Floor. You may sign-up to testify when you arrive at the hearing. Though you will only be given 3 minutes to speak, you may submit to the Commission a longer testimony in writing. Please send GVSHP a copy of all letters/testimony submitted to the LPC.
