Dear Chair Weprin,
I write to express my strong support for the proposed rezoning of all or part of six blocks in the Far West Village from C6-1 to C1-6A.
Community groups fought long and hard for this contextual rezoning which will help protect the character of this neighborhood. The current zoning encourages out-of-scale development and uses which are not in line with the current functioning of the neighborhood. As there are many potential development sites in this small area, it is critical that the rezoning happen as soon as possible to prevent further inappropriate development.
Please support this rezoning which this community first proposed two and a half years ago and has been fighting for ever since.
