GVSHP members and supporters made their demands known at the City Planning hearing. Credit: Patch. |
Thank you to the scores of neighbors and supporters who turned out yesterday for the all-day, standing-room only hearing on the proposed St. John’s Terminal development and Hudson River Park air rights transfer. GVSHP and our members were well-represented, and those raising concerns about or opposition to the plan were by far the majority of speakers. Read GVSHP’s testimony, and see coverage in Patch and Curbed.
Yesterday’s hearing will be the City Planning Commission’s only hearing before they vote this fall on the proposed approvals. However, the public can still submit written comments. From there, the plan goes to the City Council, which will have the final say on whether or not this plan is approved, denied, or modified to meet some of the very serious concerns we and others have laid out.
