Save the South Village — Brendan Sexton

Brendan Sexton knows a thing or two about what makes cities work — he’s served under five New York City mayors, established the first recycling program for a major American city, and served for years as the President of Municipal Art Society and the Times Square Alliance.

He’s also a long-time resident of the South Village, and knows that the rich mix of history, human scale, and architecture in the South Village is exactly what other cities strive to achieve. But he also knows that in recent years that wonderful mix has been threatened by demolitions and out-of-scale new construction.

Watch his video here:

Please join Brendan, GVSHP, and thousands of New Yorkers in calling upon our City officials to ACT NOW to landmark the South Village, as they promised to do years ago.

HOW TO HELP:

You can find out more about the South Village HERE, and see the rest of the 'Save the South Village' videos HERE. You can support this and other preservation efforts by GVSHP HERE.
