Preservation Voter Guides for Sept. 15 City Council Elections
 Over the past week, GVSHP and the Historic Districts Council (HDC) co-sponsored a series of candidate forums for the First, Second, and Third City Council Districts which cover the Village, NoHo, and East Village (along with other areas). Many residents got to ask questions and learn more about the candidates’ positions on important preservation and development issues. Every one of the candidates for the Democratic nomination from all three Council Districts participated, with the exception of Councilmember Christine Quinn.
GVSHP and HDC also asked all candidates to respond to questionnaires about preservation and development issues locally and citywide, to further assist in giving the public a sense of their positions on these important issues. All of the candidates have responded except Councilmember Alan Gerson and Councilmember Christine Quinn. Read the questionnaires and responses for the candidates for:
