Call Chin and Quinn on NYU; Come to City Hall Wednesday 7/25!
 KEEP THE PRESSURE ON – KEEP CALLING COUNCILMEMBER CHIN AND SPEAKER QUINN’S OFFICES TELLING THEM THAT THE NYU PLAN APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL’S LAND USE COMMITTEE, TO BE VOTED ON BY THE FULL COUNCIL ON WEDNESDAY, IS UNACCEPTABLE! The rest of the City Council will look to Councilmember Chin and Speaker Quinn for direction on this issue, and we need to tell them this plan to sell public park space, oversaturate the Village with NYU facilities, and upzone a residential neighborhood in violation of long-standing agreements is ABSOLUTELY WRONG!
THEN JOIN US AT CITY HALL FOR THE CITY COUNCIL’S FINAL VOTE ON WEDNESDAY! We need to send a strong message to the Council that we are watching what they do and that this is a critically important vote for thousands of New Yorkers.

COME TO CITY HALL BY ABOUT 1 PM THIS WEDNESDAY, JULY 25th (City Council meeting is scheduled for 1:30, but arriving early is recommended to get seats, although the meeting may not start on time – bring photo ID to enter)
GVSHP, NYU faculty, staff, and grad workers, and a coalition of more than 35 neighborhood groups opposing the NYU plan have written to all members of the City Council urging them to vote ‘NO’ on the plan – see our letter HERE.
