Upcoming Hearing on NYU’s Environmental Impact Study This Tuesday, May 24th, the Department of City Planning will hold a public hearing on the proposed scope of work for the Environmental Impact Statement for NYU’s massive proposed expansion project. The hearing and this review process will determine what NYU must study regarding the potential impact of its proposed plans, and how they do it (more information HERE). Unsurprisingly, NYU’s proposed analysis, as currently submitted to City Planning, is seriously lacking in many key respects. YOU CAN HELP: Write to the Department of City Planning BEFORE JUNE 6 urging that the proposed scope of work for NYU’s Environmental Impact Statement be expanded to include several keys areas currently overlooked and less damaging alternatives > > Come to the hearing to deliver your testimony in person and show support for the cause — Tuesday, May 24th at 2pm and again at 6 pm, Spector Hall, Department of City Planning, 22 Reade Street (btw.
