Hold the Date: City Council Rudin/St. Vincent’s Hearing March 6 (?)
The final decision on whether or not the rezoning for the Rudin condo development plan for the former St. Vincent’s Hospital East Campus is approved will be made by the City Council, which must decide within 50 days of City Planning’s January 23rd vote. The City Council must hold a public hearing before voting and making its decision.
However, as we near March, no City Council hearing date, time, and location has yet been set. We understand that next Tuesday, March 6th is the likely date for the hearing, though no time or location has yet been given at the date has not yet been confirmed. As this is a hearing of enormous interest and importance in which many people will want to participate, we wanted to provide as much notice as possible about the possible hearing date, even as we wait for this to be confirmed and particulars set.
St. Vincent’s Hospital is located in City Council Speaker’s district, and thus she will have a huge influence over the City Council’s ultimate decision.
