M8 Bus is Proposed for Elimination by the MTA
Please join GVSHP in fighting to save the M8 bus, proposed for elimination by the MTA. The M8 runs from river to river along 8th, 9th, 10th and Christopher Streets and St. Mark’s Place. The bus provides a vital link to more than a dozen schools and scores of businesses through the historic heart of Greenwich Village and the East Village. Seniors, school children, and the disabled are particularly dependent upon the M8 bus.
How to Help:
Come to the MTA’s Public Hearing on proposed service cuts on Wednesday, January 14th at 6 P.M. at the Hilton Hotel’s Trianon Ballroom, 1335 6th Avenue (at 53rd Street). Sign up to testify in support of saving the M8 bus and/or bring a sign to hold up that says “Save the M8 Bus!”
Write to the MTA urging them to save the M8 bus — you can use the sample letter here.
