Help keep the proposed NoHo Historic District intact!

In May of this year the Landmarks Preservation Commission approved a much-needed and long-overdue extension of the NoHo Historic District, which GVSHP and many others have long called for. While the approval was recently affirmed by the City Planning Commission, a concerted effort is being made by a few property owners to shrink the size of the district at the City Council. The City Council can approve, disapprove, or reduce the size of the proposed extension. Your help is needed to keep the proposed NoHo Historic District intact!

HOW TO HELP:

Write to City Council Landmarks Subcommittee Chair Jessica Lappin and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn urging that they support the proposed NoHo Historic District designation in its entirety.

Testify at the City Council Zoning Subcommittee hearing on Tuesday, August 12th at 11 A.M. at City Hall in the Committee Room — you can also use the sample letter as sample testimony. Sign in to testify when you get there and bring 10 copies of your testimony with you. Testimony is limited to 3 minutes; bring photo ID to enter.
