Puck Building Additions Still Not Approved

Puck Building Earlier this week the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) yet again declined to approve proposed penthouse additions by developer Jared Kushner to the iconic, individually landmarked Puck Building. GVSHP (along with many others) has urged the LPC to refrain from approving any overly visible or intrusive additions to this singularly beloved New York landmark, and we are gratified that thus far the LPC has been holding firm. As a result, the proposed rooftop additions have been dramatically scaled back from the original proposal. Read coverage in the NY Times/East Village Local HERE.

Developer Jared Kushner has vowed to return to the LPC as he continues to pursue approval. You can track and be notified of any developments with this or any other landmarks application which goes through the public hearing process by going to GVSHP’s Landmarks Applications webpage. Click HERE for the page for the Puck Building, including images of the proposal.
